The big news right now is the fact that I am actually updating this crappy website as I count down the days to jury duty. The script is so close to done right now I can taste it, but it might still need a reader or two to tell tell me what tiny things are holding it up by refusing to work. Grrr. Oh well, it'll get there. In the meantime, the zero people who visit this website can soon look forward to some actual content here.
I have finished the first draft of the EK script -- and after cutting 112 pages and rewriting several scenes and even more dialogue, I am ready to go through the part of the editing process that involves other humans. They'll shred, I'll cry, and I'll have an even better story when it's all said and the part I listen to is done.
I must sadly report that I have have stepped down as penciller of the in-development comic book Failsafe Heaven (created and written by Ryan Matthews). I decided that my loyalty and limited time had to be put to my own book (preview here). I wish Ryan and FH success, and I hope that I helped get it a little closer than it was before I came on board. I hate to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing my art attached to that story, but I hope they buy the book anyway (trust me, it'll be good).
